FUTURE SUPPLY CHAIN TALENT CHAMPIONSHIP

INTRODUCTION

CEL Future Supply Chain Talent Championship is a competition designed by CEL for undergraduates who are interested in innovative supply chain management (SCM). The main objective of this competition is to introduce contestants real-life and complex supply chain challenges so they can get to know what it is like to work for a cutting-edge consultancy company in the big data & advanced analytics era.

CEL competition has 3 rounds:

SCM Case Study

Round 1 - Supply Chain Data Crunching

The first step of any data analysis process is cleaning, consolidating and summarizing company’s data. In this round, students are required to prepare cleaned datasets and data summary.

Group activity (3-4 people per group)
Quantitative skills assessment
05-days duration
Students will be scored according to the number of mistakes and/or deviation to correct results
Groups will be ranked and top performing groups will be selected for the next round.

Round 2 - Supply Chain Analytics

In the second round, students analyze deeper into given datasets to understand more about company’s supply chain performance.

The group member will be the same as Round 1.
Quantitative skills assessment
10-days duration
Students will be scored according to the number of mistakes and/or deviation to correct results
Teams will be ranked and the top 4 will be selected for the next phase

Round 3 - SCM Case Study

On the third round, the top 4 teams meet together in the same place to participate in a group dynamic, in which they will need to solve, in real-time, problems presented by CEL management team. In the end, teams present their results and participate in a Q&A session with competition judges.

Students will be scored according to their ability to work in group, to propose solutions, to their quantitative results and presentation skills.
The team with the highest score wins the competition!
