Supply chain organizations are facing stiff competition from non-supply-chain companies as well as other functions within their own organization in attracting new skills and are faced with a gap for new talent that balances analytics skills and supply chain expertise.

In order to address the changing skills landscape, decreasing talent pool in supply chains, CEL hosts or collaborates with global and local institutional partners to organise Supply Chain Case Competitions for undergrads, postgrads, career starters to attract and prepare more future talents for the industries. At CEL, we believe that competitions offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude, also encouraging contestants to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills.

FROM CEL SUPPLY CHAIN TALENT CHAMPIONSHIP...

CEL Future Supply Chain Talent Championship is a competition designed by CEL for undergraduates who are interested in innovative supply chain management (SCM). The main objective of this competition is to introduce contestants to real-life and complex supply chain challenges so they can get to know what it is like to work for a cutting-edge consultancy company in the big data & advanced analytics era. CEL Future Supply Chain Talent Championship has 3 rounds: Supply Chain Data Crunching, Supply Chain Analytics, and SCM Case Study. Within 03 months, thanks to the support of over 100 local nationwide universities with faculties related to Supply chain management, the 1st season has attracted over 350 young talents forming 77 teams.

TO OTHER LOCAL, REGIONAL, GLOBAL STUDENT CHALLENGES

Annually CEL commits to different critical roles as Strategic Partner, Advisor, Jury... to help local supply chain contests in line with the contemporary topics of the industries. Those local contests can be listed as following: SCMission by Foreign Trade University, Logisticom by RMIT Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology… Additionally, CEL also collaborates with other institutions, organisations to launch regional or global contests in SCM for young talents like: the Asia Logistic Case Competition by Hong Kong Logistics Association, or the Global Student Challenge by The Fresh Connection, an international competition in which helps identify the world’s Top Talents in Supply Chain Management. These international competitions are great opportunities for future talents to take on real business challenges through web-based simulation experience or real-operation case studies, discovering and improving knowledge about supply chain management. The Vietnam team under CEL’s support has won the Championship of The Global Fresh Connection in 2016.
