Self-Study
Learn on your own anytime, day or night, to accommodate your demanding schedule. APICS offers a variety of self-study resources.

CPIM Self-Study Kit - The kit for each CPIM module includes the APICS CPIM Self-Study Guide, Exam Content Manual (ECM) and Exam Simulator. Kits are available in both printed and electronic formats.

APICS Online - Powered by Accenture - These online courses cover the CPIM body of knowledge for each module in a convenient and flexible format. The kit also includes the ECM and the Exam Simulator for each module, and a reference sheet to direct the student on how to use the courseware and materials.

CPIM Exam Simulator - This preparation tool familiarizes candidates with the web-based exams for each of the five CPIM modules. With over 300 practice questions per module, the questions are aligned with the current ECM.

Instructor-Supported
Register to learn online with college support - Instructor-supported online courses are offered through Fox Valley Technical College, which provides online APICS CPIM review courses that are interactive and easily navigated. All workshops are taught by instructors who have earned APICS certification and have years of supply chain management experience. The CPIM Exam Content Manual provides guidance for individuals preparing for the APICS CPIM exam. The content outline is divided into major topic areas, and the relative emphasis of each of the topics is indicated by a percentage figure. Use this to guide your exam preparation—whether you study on your own, attend a class taught by an APICS partner, or are a part of a corporate learning group.

CPIM Exam Process

Take the next step toward earning your CPIM designation! Candidates must pass five CPIM exams in order to become certified. By taking and passing the CPIM exams you demonstrate your commitment to your career and mastery of knowledge within a company’s global production and inventory activities.

CPIM Exam Content

The CPIM program consists of five modules with an exam for each module that reflects critical areas in production and inventory management.

MODULE 1 – Basics of Supply Chain Management

MODULE 3 – Detailed Scheduling and Planning
MODULE 4 – Execution and Control of Operations
MODULE 5 – Strategic Management of Resources

Schedule Your CPIM Exam

All candidates must have purchased an Authorization to Test (ATT) prior to scheduling their exam. Once you have purchased your ATT, you must schedule and take the exam within six months of purchase. APICS recommends that candidates review the Exam Bulletin for full details on exam process and procedures prior to scheduling your exam.

Schedule Your Exam

Schedule your appointment by logging in to your MY APICS account.
Review the confirmation notice to ensure the exam, the location and date are all correct.
If there are any errors or if no confirmation notice is received, immediately contact Pearson VUE.
For credentials with exam windows, you can only select an exam date in a window that falls within the ATT six month validity period.

Rescheduling an Exam

Review the exam bulletin for your credential before rescheduling the exam. If you need to reschedule your exam appointment within your chosen window you can make modifications directly in your My APICS account or call Pearson VUE direct. When you reschedule your exam you will be charged a nonrefundable rescheduling fee.

If you do not sit for the exam, you will forfeit the exam fees.
